Set against the crisp geometry of a contemporary urban home, the landscape design at Folts Street is a deliberate counterpoint—favoring soft, organic forms to balance the architectural clarity of the residence. The interplay between the built and natural environments is rooted in contrast: where the home is orthogonal and minimal, the landscape is fluid, expressive, and sensorial.

Situated within a dense urban context, the design prioritizes enclosure and privacy without sacrificing visual interest. Perimeter fencing and custom screening elements were carefully integrated to create a layered backdrop—simultaneously shielding interior spaces from neighboring views while enhancing the spatial composition of the outdoor rooms. These vertical elements serve as both aesthetic frameworks and functional boundaries, shaping the way the residence is experienced from within.

Planting design focuses on engaging all senses. Aromatic species were chosen not only for their seasonal beauty and texture but also for their ability to activate memory and mood through scent—creating a landscape that is as immersive as it is tranquil.
